Right now we're in a flood fight. We're just racing around putting our fires. They almost lost Twitchell Island yesterday, the water was so high and the winds were so strong.

It's looking really good right now. All the reservoirs are pretty much full. ... It's too bad we don't have more storage.

Right now we're at a lull between storms, and the rivers are receding. Overall, the flood system is in pretty good shape right now.

We're talking about a snow pack that's 150 percent of average, and it's mostly still up there. Usually by this time, a lot of the snow is gone -- but we're still adding to it.

Thank God we got a little break in the storms.

The storm that's coming could bring heavy rain for about 12 hours, and that could impact the whole Delta. All that puts a lot of pressure on the levees, and that's what we're keeping an eye on.
