Riders accompanied the horse. They talk to the kids, bring gifts and answer questions. It was the most talked about and circus-like event yet. Have you ever heard of a horse in a hospital room?

On March 13 we brought two Welsh ponies to the Ronald McDonald House. We also brought two riders and two girl scouts from Katy to give rides to 30 kids.

Most kids are enthusiastic, some unsure (of how to act). But we do whatever it takes to help take their minds away from the medical treatments they face.

There's other teams that have riders that show on the 'A' circuit year-round.

We'll take a complete beginner that has never been on a horse as well as advance riders who are currently in our riding programs. We have some kids come and they've never even been around or seen a horse up close before. But it doesn't matter.
