Ricky?s put a lot of time into the javelin and you can tell he really enjoys the event. It was great to see him come out and get the win and build some confidence for the remainder of the season.

Right now we?re taking the approach of using these meets as an extra workout for Kevin so he was able to get in 3½ miles of quality work and put up some pretty impressive times for a freshman.

For the rookies, I just wanted them to get the feel for what a track meet is like, but Rebecca ran a nice race and picked up some points for the team, which should be encouraging for the future.

It was a very good day for sprinting because of the weather and we were able to get Michelle two really fast times early in the season. Now we have the chance to do some different things for the next couple of weeks with her. We?re going to see her debut in the 400 very soon, and she?s been working on picking up the javelin.
