Returning to power in northern India is very important for the Congress party. No magic wand will work. We have to make our efforts. It will be a long and difficult struggle for us.

They should be encouraged to do better as they are our strength. But they must work for the betterment of the party without hoping for electoral gains.

The future of each of us is inter-connected and all of us should work together by following the path laid down by former leaders of the party for the development of the country and its brighter future.

For me, the Congress party is now my life, the people of India are my life, and I will fight for the people of India and for this party.

The party in power, like Jonah's gourd, grew up quickly, and will quickly fall.

I will continue to work in Congress to reign-in the federal judiciary and return it to its constitutional function of applying the law, not legislating from the bench.
