Rain or snow, no fail, we'll be here.

That's the date traditionally that Christ was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. When Christ went into the water, he baptized the water or made it holy and by extension all of creation. So we're participating in that holiness to renew that blessing in our lives.

It's a big deal. When you get the cross, it's like an honor for the year. And we'll let whoever gets it hold the icon of the feast.

Anybody who's willing to jump in and retrieve it, go ahead and get it. I'm hoping to have a few brave souls that will dive in.

This is the first time ever we've had anybody jumping in. In Idaho, we're braver than they are over in Spokane.
