Rage Against the Machine just broke up. The Chili Peppers are taking a hiatus. I just heard Newsted quit Metallica. It's going to be interesting what transpires out of all this.

I didn't realize Metallica was as big as they were. I just thought it was my buddy Kirk's band - we went to high school together. I wasn't really following metal.

The more I see, the less I know, the more I'd like to let it go.

My favorite bands are the Allman Brothers and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

In the Chili Peppers I'm a part of that world in a pretty big world and that's just the way it is.

To me, if you're going to talk about funk, you have to go back to George Clinton and Bernie Worrell. Those guys are the giants. I've played with Bernie, and it was unreal. He's the master.
