Presidents are not elected on the streets, but we come out onto the streets to say 'no' to falsification, 'no' to lies. We want to live in dignity. We are human beings.

Only, we think that not dozens, but as a minimum, hundreds of people should be on that [travel ban] list. Why? It [should include] judges whose rulings are politically motivated, heads of universities who expel students for their political views, militia officers who beat people, and all those propaganda-mongers who are destroying freedom of thought in society. We do not have TV. We have a propaganda organ.

This is a political action, a political sentence. Leaders of leading political parties are behind bars.

What is going on in Belarus can be compared to the storm of a fortress. This was the first storm. We will use peaceful methods. We will surround that fortress and we will not retreat.

What is going on today is the seizure of power by unconstitutional means.

The mood of the people now is different. The people will laugh now, and that is what the authorities are most afraid of.
