Plum Creek totally failed to listen to Maine people. What we have today is the same development in essentially the same places.

This map tries to send several important messages. It asks Plum Creek to concentrate development near communities in ways that will support the region's economy, provide permanent conservation of high value woods, water and wildlife habitat that are the heart of the region's north woods assets, and it tries to start a conversation about areas needed for nature tourism. This map offers a creative and hopeful win-win solution to an area that does not need to be divided against itself.

Traditional neighborhoods have certain characteristics that we haven't seen in conventional development in the last couple of decades. One of them is that the streets are all connected to one another, so you can walk around and come upon another place you've never seen before. Guess what? Waveland already has that very ideal situation - most of the streets connect.

I have them all in my closet. I have never been beaten in Maine.

The advice we are giving people today is to stay indoors particularly if you do suffer from asthma or any other respiratory disease.

We did have a couple sheets of petitions circulating for people living on the road nearby. I feel 60 horses is a lot for that property. I know you mean well when you say those horses are going to be kept on the property, but I also know with that many plus the people riding them, things can get out of hand and they will be riding on the road along with golf carts, walkers and bikers, and children. It would be dangerous.
