Playing football gave me the option of having school paid for while doing something I love,

In high school I did well academically and athletically, ... I never thought about not succeeding. Thankfully I have the God-given ability to do it.

Playing football at a school like Griffith means he plays in a lot of big games with a lot of pressure. Nate handles himself so well and he has a tremendous attitude. He is just a great person to be around.

We continue to make history. Two years ago we reached the pinnacle of Texas high school football, and now this is only the seventh time in history a Texas team is playing a California team.

We just want to win. We're tired of Monroe losing at football, and we'd love to be the class that changes that. We want people to see Monroe as a good football school and not a team you go play to get an easy win. It's nice to get off to a good start, get a couple of wins under our belt.

I love football and have a passion to help kids learn and see them grow and develop. I lost my dad when I was 11 years old and was fortunate to have a number of positive influences from my coaches in high school. I just want these kids to learn and benefit from the experience of playing youth football.
