Playing at Colfax, with Colfax looking to avenge an earlier loss, we knew that it would be tough. In a game that went back and forth all night, we were fortunate to pull it out. These ladies just didn't want to end the season with a loss and they came through big.

The team was ravaged by illness early in the season, resulting in numerous games being played with shorthanded - including many with only five to six players and one in which there were only four players on the floor at the end. It was nice to get everyone healthy in time for league to start.

We always look forward to this game. They always put on a good show.

I lost someone very close to me and afterward I believed I could have saved him had I been a better friend to him. But everyone disappears, no matter who loves them.

It's unfortunate that our only loss to a team in Illinois came in the sectional. Our free-throw shooting has not been what we've wanted it to be all season [10-for-24 against Trinity].

It's a huge loss. He's done an outstanding job coordinating our athletic programs. He worked well with everybody, not just the athletes and coaches but also with the teachers.
