Perhaps you are just close to what you have been waiting for all along and ideas start formulating in your mind and advising you to "give up". Tell them "not me".

To conquer the dangers of giving up, do what your passion moves you to do.

Don't give up too early because everyone is ahead of you and you are far behind them. Set a standard for yourself and keep beating that standard regularly!
