People aren't just saying Mark was a good guy because they're in mourning. When people tell you he was a great guy, they really mean it.

I object to these groups who say they're mourning for our soldiers -- people they didn't even know. There's a difference between honoring the dead and counting bodies for your own political purposes.

And there were following Him a great multitude of the people, and of women who were mourning and lamenting Him. But Jesus turning to them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, stop weeping for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For behold, the days are coming when they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.' Then they will begin to say to the mountains, 'Fall on us.' and to the hills, 'Cover us.' For if they do these things in the green tree, what will happen in the dry? Luke 23: 27-32

Life is always walking up to us and saying, "Come on in, the living's fine," and what do we do? Back off and take its picture.

Despite their pain, their mourning, they agreed to give a second life to people in distress. Thanks to them, a door to the future is open to me and to others.

Tomorrow our paper will be in the recycling bin or worse. These people will still be mourning their dead. And that lasts a lot longer than tomorrow's paper.
