People are still using libraries as physical facilities, we had over 1,000 meetings and 36,000 meeting and programs.

Libraries have been heavy users of technology forever and this is just the next way that we're going to provide information. It's really is a relationship not a battle that we have with the internet.

If we get a lot of comments from the meetings and surveys I think the staff and our board is going to listen. (The feedback) is really going to help us move forward to prepare a vision statement and come up with policies.

We circulated over 2 million items in 2005. We had over a million visits to our three library outlets so libraries are being used more heavily than ever.

There's been a declining audience for network TV for a while, People have their own libraries of things they specifically want to see, which competes for TV viewing time. More options is good news for the consumer but bad news for the networks, who are responsible for the most expensive hours of TV produced. It'll be harder and harder to maintain an audience that justifies that business model.

People who go to places of worship, people who go to libraries, people who are in chat rooms, are going to have 'Big Brother' listening in even though there's no evidence that they are involved in anything illegal whatsoever.
