People are definitely getting more used to them. The engineering community is really beginning to embrace them.

We're fairly certain this is the direction we want to go and it is a good opportunity to meet with the public again.

Durham is beginning to face the same issues any growing community is. Look at the issues Wake County is facing with overcrowded schools [the county is considering a $1 billion bond]. That's an illustration of what can happen.

I think the desired effect has happened here. I think community division was the intent from the beginning, because keep in mind there was nothing set in stone.

Community divisiveness was the intent from the beginning.

It was a successful beginning of a dialogue. It helped pull the community together.
