Pedro was tough. He was throwing as well as I've seen him. He mixes it up so well, he makes it tough to get comfortable up there against him.

It's definitely frustrating. We're not hitting the ball at all. It's tough to be as pathetic offensively as we've been.

Pedro throws a lot like Livan (Hernandez). He'll throw off-speed on any pitch in the count. He pitched great. We couldn't do anything.

It's always big when the back end of your rotation throws the way Pedro did. He was throwing well before he went down [with a strained right quad muscle]. We really missed him. It looks like he picked up where he left off.

It's tough to score a lot of runs off of Pedro, ... We did tonight, more so later. The thing is, Pedro's going to make mistakes. He knows how to pitch and you don't know what your going to get.

It makes you better. I've watched Pedro do it. I watched RJ (Randy Johnson) do it, and I've seen (Roger) Clemens do it. It's a weapon that I've never felt that I've used to any extent in the past. And I'm going to use it.
