Paul's admonition in 1 Corinthians 8:1-3 shows that our man-made, legalistic rules for 'holiness' always have in them more proud fruit from 'the tree of the knowledge of good and evil' than they have a love for God or the leading of God.

If a little sin from the beginning caused such great havoc to the world, and you think your little sin as a Christian today the unchangeable God can overlook; then surely, 'you are on your own'.
