Over and over again, like clockwork, we see the human race present a remarkable talent all throughout history. That talent is failing. We never fail to fail.

We spend our lives trying to find, this abstract being that we can call “mine”. We lose ourselves in human touch at love, we desperately clutch. We often wear a mask, in hiding we bask.

Have you ever wondered why Cinderella's stepmother was bitter and greedy? Have you ever wondered why Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty was evil? Have you ever wondered that MAYBE the Big Bad Wolf attacked the Red Riding Hood because he was hungry, and so it is his natural instinct to eat? There is no such thing as good or evil. Such things are a concept that the human mind came up with. It's a matter of perspective.

Fire can benefit, but also destroy. Media will corrupt but will also inform. Food is needed, yet it can fatten. Light is only needed when there is darkness. Life is valued the most when death is upon us. If you think about it, everything either contradicts with something else, or is a contradiction in itself.

Effort and consistency are the foundation to success.

And for all those years, we never talked about the disaster at the recital or my terrible accusations afterward at the piano bench. All that remained unchecked, like a betrayal that was now unbreakable. So I never found a way to ask her why she had hoped something so large that failure was inevitable. And even worse, I never asked her what frightened me the most: Why had she given up hope?
