Our range is spread out and there is a lot of it. But it's hard on deer and elk to have collectors pushing them around in an effort to pick up an antler before the next guy gets it.

Durango has a lot of deer and a lot of good mountain lion habitat, so there are mountain lions in the area.

People can have a mountain lion in the area, and it doesn't necessarily create a conflict situation.

We look like we have a large territory, but no one lives there.

We're addressing it. In our newsletter I urged members, particularly members in the Northeast Kingdom to contact their legislators. We very rarely (ask people to) contact their legislators.

We're buying the UPC power because we need it. We are a co-op and are not out to make a profit. If [utilities] have more power than needed at any given day or hour, the excess is sold to the New England Power Pool.
