Our kids just had a lapse of focus in the field and at the plate. But I'm proud of the way they battled. We'll bounce back.

We're scoring enough points to win and we know we're going to continue to score. We just need to focus on defense.

He's a stud. I love watching him pitch. He reminds me of a guy named Oscar Rivas, who ironically knocked us out of the playoffs when he was at Clear Lake my junior year. He's got those broad shoulders and throws hard. He's got a nasty breaking ball. I think he's going to be the best pitcher we'll face all year.

He didn't have his best stuff today. He's usually pretty nasty.

The focus should be on us trying to get a victory. We're trying to get to 1-2. We let two games slip. I don't care who's back there, if I get an opportunity to sack the quarterback, I'm going to sack the quarterback.

They're real young, but our kids came out and executed and took care of business tonight.
