Our kids have a whole lot of character. At one point, we were 0-8 in the league. We were out of the playoffs. It would be easy to go through the motions, but these kids have a lot to play for.

He's going to be a go-to guy probably next year, and hopefully we can have some guys step up, guys who have more experience. I think we'll be a lot better next year.

Ryan's a special player in that he's worked extremely hard throughout his career to really improve his game. It really showed this season. He led our team in just about every category.

He wanted those kids to come back. He wants to win bad. That says a lot about the kid's character.

I think that [the comeback] shows the character of our program. The kids believe they can win even when they are down 17 points. We actually won the quarter by one [point], but we let them stretch their lead when they went on an 8-0 run. We just didn't have enough to hold them off.

We don't give up. We keep working and that's the character of the kids.
