Our kids are starting to see what they're capable of. We had a good practice Wednesday and it carried over tonight.

I told the kids that the game would be different than practice. I was concerned because there's always an uh-oh period when you haven't played in a while. They had more energy than us at first.

We're just playing well as a team. The kids work hard every week in practice. We're off to a good start but the season's really long and there's a lot left to accomplish.

That was good for us. We'll see a hard-throwing kid like that Tuesday.

We can't give a good team that many opportunities. We're not too far off.

We executed and we stole a bunch of bases. We competed hard. We just need to finish.
