Our family is grateful for the jury's first-degree verdict, but for us it's a bit of a hollow victory. The murderer's mother can still visit him in jail. Lisa was just at the prime of her life, but now our mom can only visit her at the cemetery.

If our system had kept him in jail, Lisa would be here today. But the sun will rise tomorrow and it will be another day without Lisa. And more women and children will be savagely raped and murdered by sex predators who should never have been on the street again.

There is no peace when your child and sister has been taken from you at the hands of a brutal murderer.

Rob led us to a 14-2 victory. He chewed us out when we weren't passing the puck, and things like that. He had what we were looking for and he said he would be happy to take it over if something were to happen.
