One year, I was running with a friend of mine and he stopped to tie his shoe and I shot past him. He never caught up with me, but when we got to the finish line he told me that wouldn't happen again. He was right because he beats me every year.

I moved here from Boston in 1981 and got the feeling that not much happened around here with running. Six months later, there's the first Kingston Classic and all that thinking changed. I love the day and for me it signals that we made it through another Catskill winter.

Those who came to the meeting were really excited about getting these block watches up and running again. We're starting to see more vandalism and burglary in the area, and a well-run block watch program can deter a lot of that kind of activity.

It wouldn't cost more to get it built, but it would take more to keep it running.

I don't think so. Running through the game plan in my head, each one is different, but they're the same in that we feel like we have an offensive scheme we like to use that our guys understand. I don't see it changing a lot.

That was a great call by Garrett at third base and some good running by Miller. It took some guys, but we got it done.
