One of the things we always teach spokespeople in a crisis is to demonstrate your own personal involvement. From a psychological perspective, it's very powerful when people see it, whether in a jury box or the public.

The longer that there is no decision, the more confused consumers are likely to become. We think consumers deserve to have action as soon as possible.

What these lists demonstrate is that we have been safely consuming foods containing biotech ingredients for nearly a decade now. This is what the food industry has been saying all along, that biotech ingredients are in more and more foods every day and that they are as safe and nutritious as non-biotech foods.

I think we can always do more to get ourselves together, especially at a time of crisis, ... We can work together without having to adopt the same philosophical positions.

If indeed this is the work of God... then it's a crisis that calls for the church to be its very best self, and not worry about risking itself for the right thing.
