One of our focuses with the high school players was recruiting local and in-state kids. We lost a lot of our local players after last season and wanted to build those numbers back up. That helps generate a lot of interest in the community.

Every day I am part of my local town community, part of Rio Mesa High School Alumni, part of the racing world, part of the diabetes community worldwide.

This is going to be a great show. We have kids from every school in the county.

We lost the game, but I'm somewhat pleased with the effort. We've got a lot of young players. We have a lot of first-year players.

The players think it was two lost and I think that it was one gained. I think it was one gained because eleven players didn't turn up - we had five. W e had five in the first half and we might have had five in the second half at times. However they're kids and because they're kids they probably aren't aware that things are not going particularly well but they still kept going forward.

My goal is to outwork everybody in recruiting, sign the best players in the state, and turn these guys into the best team we can.
