Oil is still doing its thing. And there's some follow-through from Friday's (jobs) number.

I know they're going to get some relief on some of this commodity pricing, as long as oil doesn't go through $100 a barrel.

If the price of oil stays high and our taxes along with it, I expect more jobs lost, more flights cut and more airlines in crisis.

This qualitative aspect of growth is a huge issue here. Development spurs investment and creates jobs, but it also results in the loss of green space. That's an amenity many people moved here to enjoy. Assigning a value to it is difficult, though, because the numbers are so [subjective].

The market is hanging in there because of the international situation but we'll see what happens next week.

The market has a great bid, the auction was pretty strong, and it looks like there was good demand from indirect bidders, probably foreign central banks.
