Often, firing is a straightforward cost-cutting measure. When you're fired, it's easy to weave fantasies and imagine villains. If you are going to spend an hour feeling miserable, make sure that you are miserable for the right reason.

I think by any measure we are at a major bottom, but bottoms don't happen overnight. Stocks can hit a bottom and then trade sideways, go up and down as they adjust. But I'd be stunned if we traded more than 10 percent lower.

When you're fired, you're rejected. It's as simple as that.

You can't buy a good reputation; you must earn it.

If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity, nothing else matters.

I've known entrepreneurs who were not great salespeople, or didn't know how to code, or were not particularly charismatic leaders. But I don't know of any entrepreneurs who have achieved any level of success without persistence and determination.
