Now, it has to be about more than hoping to make plays. John has to go out there and plan to make plays, if that makes any sense.

The zone we're seeing out of our guys on D are actually going to help us on offense. It's more of what we'll be seeing during the season.

The thing is, the guys behind John have to be ready. In football, it's about a 60 percent chance that the first one will get hurt.

When I first got here, he was talking about games from two years ago and mistakes he had made. He's been hammered so hard. It's something that we had to repair and fix, for him to live in the now and forget about the past.

He's been kicked around a bunch.

We had a great passing game last season. There were some open shots we missed though, some passes that we didn't convert, among other things, and we need to keep working on that.
