Now a good team plays to make it difficult for me. A player comes for me and stays with me when I bring the ball forward to give it to a midfielder or striker. It is my job but it is difficult sometimes in the match.

Some people may have expected us to drop points at Liverpool or get beaten. We didn't do that, we won emphatically in the end which sends out a statement. A lot of talk comes when you're the champions. I remember back to Man United and Arsenal winning the league and people do have a go when you're top. The art of it is to be strong enough to use that to motivate and we did that. We showed our character and our strength.

The question is not whether we play well or play badly. It's to play to win. Nobody will remember the way we qualified once we are in Germany.

We have to win that last match, no matter how.
