Not every youth player has the financial resources to travel to participate in national screening. We must, therefore, take the national team out to all corners of TT.

...how many of us have a moved heart that shies away to a different angle, a millimetre or even less from the place where it first existed, some repositioning unknown to us.

A lot of work has gone into the team both on and off the field in the past weeks. We have been fortunate to have had a lot of games in the build-up to the tournament and this can only augur well for us. It gave us a fair chance to work with the team and we can only hope to execute well in the competitive outings to come.

This is in keeping with the overall development of our players also off the field as well.

This must all work as a spin off effect of our historic achievement of qualifying for the 2006 World Cup. And we must ensure that a solid foundation is put in place to ensure ongoing success in all spheres of international competition.

Whenever these guys come back they always get into a fete match situation but now they have something solid to look forward to and they all came out this time.
