No one can guarantee me anything. I am much older and much sicker than I was when I had the first transplant, but I am confident in my doctors and confident that I will find a donor.

I think sometimes it makes you sicker than what you really are to take so much medication.

Then I also contracted Hepatitis C from all of the blood transfusions I was getting because of my crazy kidneys. The doctors said that one of the donors probably had such a slight case that they were not able to detect it during the screening process.

I do not feel like I was gypped in my life at all. I actually feel as though I was given a special gift.It made me see my life and my family in a different light.

I find myself getting so upset because I was never able to be a good mother for my daughter or a good grandmother for my granddaughter because I was always so sick. I only hope that I can live long enough to see my granddaughter graduate.

The week before my wedding, they told me they found the cancer. The week after, I had a partial hysterectomy.
