There are other ways to have fulfilling relationships that can sustain you and make your life great and fun other than having a sexualized relationship. It’s not the only kind of fulfilling human interaction. So, even if you are single forever, that doesn’t mean that you’ve had some kind of failed life.

Surround yourself with people you like and make cool stuff with them. In the end, at least in my experience, what you do isn't going to be nearly as interesting or important as who you do it with.

My favorite book, by a wide margin, was An Imperial Affliction, but I didn’t like to tell
people about it. Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical
zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together
unless and until all living humansread the book. And then there are books like An Imperial Affliction,
which you can’t tell people about, books so special and rare and yours that advertising your
affection feels like a betrayal.
