Never keep your brain so full that people’s opinions take up every pew in your mind, and truth has to be “born again” before it is believed.

The truth is this: People that give you focus, energy and anger do care. If you were nothing then you wouldn't be able to affect them. Behind every over reaction was first the thought that your opinion mattered and your respect was once of value or you wouldn't get the response you got.
