My sense is that the public has lost a sense of faith in Salt Lake County government. There is a credibility problem. I believe this is a step backwards.

What we did was get stories that showed the outrages in government and write them as hard as we could,

If he tends to the kids, that's all he does ... whereas I hold the baby in my lap and do a radio interview.

It's a slam-dunk order. The government can't pick and choose which faith it's going to prefer.

What is potentially harmful about this whole situation is that people lose faith in the fact that the government can be a protector, ... I'm hopeful that we can use this as an opportunity to demand more of government.

I think people's faith in government is somewhat wishful thinking.
