My first car was a Buick Skyhawk from, like, '78, I think. I ran that thing into the gutter. It was shaped like an egg; it was cool.

I think a tire was going down on Hamlin's car. He slammed on the brakes and I ran into him hard and smashed in my grille pretty good. That made the car real tight for the rest of the race.

Overall I'm pleased with the car and how far we've come with it this afternoon. But I think first place was definitely within our reach. I locked up the front tires and set us back a little so that hurt us.
