My father was a journalist.

My father took me to my first game in 1971, and I fell in love with the Redskins and the NFL right then. I was hooked. And we didn't even win that game.

My father told me from the get-go to treat [the movie's story] like a journalist. And he was absolutely right. We wanted to do with this material pretty much what Murrow and Friendly did with their McCarthy broadcast. We wanted to just put the material out there and to be as tight and contained as we could so that the story itself was the star.

Information is a treasure for our people. The promise of the journalist is not with popularity. It is with the truth.

Sammy Baugh embodied all we aspire to at the Washington Redskins. He was a competitor in everything he did and a winner. He was one of the greatest to ever play the game of football, and one of the greatest the Redskins ever had.

In his time both on the field and on the sideline, Jack Pardee will forever be a part of the Washington Redskins' legacy.
