My calendar here is full. I have two or three things every day. Softball, swimming, tennis, basketball. I go back to Maine in the summers and the only thing I have on my calendar is a couple of doctor's appointments.

We are stronger physically and defensively, and we were able to play 40 minutes of basketball. It is hard to play 40 perfect minutes of defense. We struggled in the first half, but that's the difference in the second: we don't panic.

We live to play another day. We've won four straight games and are playing or best basketball now.

The real, many-veiled answer to the question of just what goes through a great player's mind as he stands at the center of hostile crowd-noise and lines up the free-throw that will decide the game might well be: nothing at all.

What we had to do in doubles was play basic, solid tennis. The main thing with a lot of new kids is they want to hit winners or they want to push the ball. You need to be consistently firm. That?s what Eric does well, and that?s what Matt Dunne did in the second set.

For some of them it's actually their first tennis experience.
