Music is therapy for me. It's my outlet for every negative thing I've ever been through. It lets me turn something bad into something beautiful.

School was hard for me. If there had been a school for the creative arts, I might have thrived, but... I needed that creative outlet so much. Also, I'm just bad with numbers.

I love the creative process. That's always been the closest thing to my heart, creating something.

Every bad thing that's happened to me has defined me, has shaped, has moulded me.

To me rites of passage through life, that's a wonderful, beautiful thing.

I just think religion is something... It could be a beautiful thing for the individual, but when it becomes organized, that's when religion starts taking a kind of ugly turn to me.
