Music has a tremendous effect on me. When it's playing, I can't think or do anything other than listen. But I can write to it.

I can't listen to anything when I write, not even the TV. I do have to listen to music when I drive, though.

I never listen to music when I write.

I just don't think I can write someone drastically younger than me.

I can write a program that lets you break the copy protection on a music file. But I can't write a program that solders new connections onto a chip for you.

I am now writing a book called 'Far Enough,' very loosely based on my childhood. This is difficult because it forces me to remember people I loved who are gone.
