Museums are the secular temples of our day.

Fairy tales are with us day in and day out, not just in commercials, but references in the theater, movies, museums, schools, etc.

An ideal museum show would be a mating of Brideshead Revisited with House & Garden. provoking intense and pleasurable nostalgia for a past that none of its audience has had.

I'd say we have the biggest fossil collection out of our peers nationally - which are museums less than 25 years old. But it's not so much the quantity as the quality of our fossils. They're scientifically important and fascinating to look at.
