Mostly, the mixer is a great way for new students to meet and make new friends.

We are not a legislative branch where we vote on items but rather a forum where students can voice their concerns.

I love it because I get to know these students. It is a great way to know people, especially incoming freshmen who may not know everyone.

Sometimes there are people in this world that you meet. Most of these people remain just that, passing acquaintances that further down the line you will struggle to remember their names, let alone picture their faces and it all fades into a distant past almost like a dissolving aspirin. Some acquaintances become friends, but again these come and go with only a few remaining consistent. However, occasionally you will meet someone that changes who you are and who you will become.

I think [the election] is a good process to go through. I think it is needed so that students have a choice, and that is how they can exercise their right to vote.

One thing we are forgetting about 'The Vagina Monologues' is that it's a piece that was chosen by the students.
