Mobile is a great way to reach impulsive consumers who want to buy and listen to music wherever they are.

There are loyalty schemes already in the mobile market but they are about getting people to spend more in order to get more, whereas this is awarding people for normal usage.

We think the community at large may not know or may have forgotten how much good music goes on here, and also how much variety there really is. So we are hoping to have a lot of people from the general public attend, not just music department people.

Not all of the talented groups we have in the music department will be performing, because there are just so many of them. But we're trying to show how broad a spectrum is covered at the university.

You know I'm a bit of a dag because I listen to classical music. I recently bought myself an iPod and downloaded every piece of classical music that I had access to onto that.

For me it was really important to get the essence out of the music for the story and not, sort of, press the music into the service of the whimsical telling of it.
