Make no mistake about it. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is a Hero of freedom. He is a Hero of justice and equality. He is Hero of peace. He is a Hero against racism, discrimination, hatred, and oppression. It is a cruel act for someone to hijack Dr. King’s legacy for purposes that run counter to everything King stood for. It is unethical, immoral, and deceptive.

The heroes of my childhood were Martin Luther King Jr. and John F. Kennedy... but I was inspired by the ideals of our 40th president and became a Republican.

I am convinced that men hate each other because they fear each other. They fear each other because they don’t know each other, and they don’t know each other because they don’t communicate with each other, and they don’t communicate with each other because they are separated from each other
