Michigan State is a fine basketball team, no doubt about it. We're proud of what they've done for our state. Our only regret is not playing our style of ball at the start of the game.

I think this group of players have been the pioneers when it comes to getting the program back on track. They've stuck it out through the thick and thin so I'm extremely happy for them because they've overcome numerous obstacles and have persevered.

I thought we gave Eastern some trouble. I thought we gave them a good game.

Candace had a couple three-pointers that took the wind out of their sails. And we had our inside game going very well.

Once again I'm happy for our team, especially our seniors. They found a way to get it done.

We're going to go in there just as hard as we have been against Toledo. These next few games are so crucial.
