Men are not flattered by being shown that there has been a difference of purpose between the Almighty and them

The Almighty has His own purposes

Knavery and flattery are blood relations.

You can have anything you want if you want it badly enough. You can be anything you want to be, do anything you set out to accomplish if you hold to that desire with singleness of purpose.

I am satisfied that when the Almighty wants me to do or not do any particular thing, He finds a way of letting me know it

I have talked with great men, and I do not see how they differ from others.
