May the struggles I face today never rain upon you, but may your struggles indeed be different than mine, that we may lean upon one another.

If you close your eyes sometimes your vision becomes clearer as it is not clouded by pictures.

Following the direction of the wind is not necessarily the right direction. Sometimes, walking against the wind is the path that yields greatness.

My mother also taught me that when life hits me to the ground, I am permitted 24 hrs. to have my pity party - cry, scream, kick and complain. After those 24 hours, I am to pull myself up by the boot straps and move on. So, I devised a plan. I allow myself 12 hrs to party and spend the next 12 hours pulling one strap at a time until I'm fully standing and then I kick the party in the rearend.

Wisdom is not attained by the journey through life's circumstances and lessons learned, but rather, is attained through distinguishing the difference between logic and heart. When you're able to lead with your heart, over your logic despite the journey, you have achieved the greatness of wisdom.

Let graciousness fall today into the laps of the weak, into the hearts of the sorrowful, into the eyes of the tearful, into the pockets of the destitute, into the souls of the forgotten and then unto the ones lost within greed, corruption and scandal, that their righteousness be absolved.
