Markets are constantly in a state of uncertainty and flux and money is make by discounting the obvious and betting on the unexpected.

No retailer can afford to underestimate the importance of good marketing and public relations. Target also comes across as a better corporate citizen than Wal-Mart because it makes it a point to inform people about its efforts to give back to communities.

The studios aren't going to credit the genre as much as they are, you know, the marketing of an individual thing, or whatever it was. They'll try to imitate it. They want something that has the same things-young stars from TV. They think they have the formula worked out. I just think it's a fool's game.

A lot of the home video companies are not familiar with the classics. They're not aggressive with marketing them, and trying to figure out which ones they should put out. They don't necessarily have the background. I don't want to see the fourth or fifth reissue of an '80s comedy in a new box.

The reality is that financial markets are self-destabilizing; occasionally they tend toward disequilibrium, not equilibrium.
