Liverpool has 1,000 per graduating class. Laurens has 25. (The color guard brings) recognition to the school that they wouldn't get otherwise.

The NCAA just brings that instant name recognition and credibility to this part of the world. It will have a tremendous impact. We are a private liberal arts college playing at the Division II level. We created our own little niche in the higher-education market.

Quantity brings recognition and accolades

I'm also still with the American Legion after 37 years. They put me on the color guard so I have to hold the flags and march.

We aren't overrated, we are misconstrued. We've got three big players and two wings but only one guard (Williams). We have to be able to create for others and we only have one guy that can do it.

There was a great deal of peer recognition to be gained in elementary school by being able to draw well. One girl could draw horses so well, she was looked upon as a kind of sorceress.
