Like everything at the end of the session, there's going to be a scramble. The Speaker has said community college is on life support, but it's not dead.

To shut down live music at 12 is unfair and unreasonable. It is a matter of improving community relations and empowering citizens to improve the environment in which they live.

We are also receiving help from many other church members of other denominations throughout the community. The mobile cannery sits out here and people see it. Some people just stop and want to help.

I am amazed about the caring and the giving from the community. We're not getting $5 and $10 checks but $50, $100, $250. They are just opening up their wallets and that keeps the shelters open and provides food....It's wonderful to see the caring from individuals to help others they don't even know.

What we're really trying to do is build student activism and get students passionate about their community through arts and music, and other forms of outreach.

They got a big pay raise for everyone in the community college system,
