Life is ... you work, you support yourself, take care of yourself, but you also have to take care of your community.

When you are getting out of [the] treatment center, and you have nowhere to live, and you're just getting a place, and you don't have any furniture, that's a lot of stress. Basically, it takes off the stress, and they feel like they have support if they need it.

She really inspired us to do what we are doing.

Our mission is to help recovering addicts, battered women and children. If they need it, we have it.

We hit a lot of line drives at people (during the first game); we just hit into a lot of bad luck. But in the second game, we were able to put a bunch of doubles together.

The last couple of years, we've had such good talent in this area. We can't get them all. Over half our roster is from around here, and I wouldn't trade any of the ladies we have for anybody else.
